ED Attaches ₹3,084 Crore Worth of Assets Belonging to Anil Ambani

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken action against Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani, who is facing money laundering charges. As part of the investigation, the ED has attached assets worth over ₹3,000 crore belonging to Anil Ambani. Official sources revealed this information on Monday. The list of attached properties includes his residence as well as several commercial properties.

Anil Ambani’s residence in the Pali Hill area of Mumbai and a portion of land belonging to the Reliance Centre in Delhi have been attached by the ED. In addition, several residential and commercial properties owned by his companies in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Hyderabad, Chennai, and East Godavari are also included in the attachment list. The total value of these properties is said to be ₹3,084 crore, according to official sources.

Allegations have surfaced that companies belonging to the Anil Ambani Group were involved in bank loan frauds worth several crores of rupees, prompting a CBI investigation. Based on the FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the ED registered a money laundering case. It is alleged that several companies owned by Anil Ambani, including Reliance Infrastructure, illegally diverted funds exceeding ₹17,000 crore.

As part of the probe, the ED conducted searches in July this year at 35 locations linked to 50 companies within the Reliance Group and on 25 individuals. In August, the agency questioned Anil Ambani along with several executive officials of the company.
