Elon Musk’s global companies — Tesla (electric vehicle manufacturer) and Starlink (satellite internet provider) — have begun recruitment drives in India. Tesla has announced job openings in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune, while Starlink, which is preparing to launch commercial internet services soon, has started hiring for its Bengaluru operations.
34 Openings at Tesla
Tesla, which launched sales of its Model Y in India earlier this year, has announced 34 job openings across various departments in the country. These positions are based in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. Notably, one of the roles includes a Vehicle Operator position focused on developing Autopilot technology for the Indian market.
The openings are listed on the Tesla Careers page and cover multiple divisions, including:
- Supply Chain
- Engineering & IT
- Sales and Customer Support
- AI and Robotics
- Vehicle Services
- Operations and Business Support
- Charging Infrastructure
- Human Resources
Interested candidates can apply through the Tesla Careers portal or other major job platforms. The selection process will include multiple stages of screening followed by interviews.
Starlink Recruitment
Meanwhile, Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, has also begun hiring in India as it prepares to introduce low-latency broadband internet services.
In its first phase of recruitment, the company is hiring for Finance and Accounting roles, including:
- Accounting Manager
- Payments Manager
- Senior Treasury Assistant
- Tax Manager
All these positions will be based in Bengaluru.
Starlink is also planning to set up Earth Stations in India. Pending key government approvals, the company aims to launch satellite internet services by the end of this year or early 2026.
